Bhyundar Valley, Uttarakhand
Rest well after every ridge. Hotel Priya and its family of stays are rooted in Ghangaria — run by the same locals who have called this valley home for generations.

Ghangaria sits at over 3,000 metres and opens for only four months a year — reachable solely on foot. Hotel Priya has operated here for decades, continually improving its rooms to offer the best possible comfort in one of India's most remote settings.
Rooms come with attached bathrooms fitted with western-style commodes and running cold water. Hot water is provided by bucket — a practical adaptation to the area's limited power supply. What the valley lacks in electricity, it more than makes up for in silence, wildflowers, and sky.
